GeoGebra is simple to use and allows students to see what they are doing with their maths. It helps them to visualise mathematical concepts such as sum of interior angles of a triangle is 180 degrees and when doing something abstract such as solving a pair of simultaneous equations – it is quick and easy to graph both equations so that students can visualise what the solutions to the equations mean.
GeoGebra gives students the opportunity to establish a relationship with mathematics. The dynamic use of GeoGebra makes it easy for students to see how changes in a mathematical object can affect the properties of that object.
GeoGebra was created to help students gain a better understanding of mathematics. You can use it for active and problem-oriented teaching. It fosters mathematical experiments and discoveries in the classroom.

We are running a series of webinars to help the teachers make the transition from face-to-face to online teaching as effectively as possible. It aims to familiarise the participants with the online learning environment, the technology and the strategies. Online teaching and learning varies from pre-recorded videos to live webinars and it is not only replicating the physical classroom into virtual. There are some limitations of this environment as well as some virtues. As a teacher, one should have a better understanding of the pros and cons of online teaching so that he/she can design the lesson plans accordingly.
In this series of webinars we will learn and discuss following topics:
- Online teaching context – differences between online and F2F teaching
- Suitability of subjects/topics and tailoring of topics for online teaching
- Essential tools (Screen sharing, screen recording, whiteboard, document collaboration, video chat, homeworks, assessments)
